Did you know that grapefruit essential oil contains large amounts of the anti-inflammatory enzyme bromelain, which helps break down cellulite?

In addition to grapefruit essential oil there are other essential oils that help improve the appearance of your skin. I love experimenting with different essential oil combinations. You never know what your new favorite scent combination will be until you experiment. Plus each essential oil has therapeutic benefits that go far beyond helping you improve skin tone.

Juniper essential oil is known for its detoxifying and purifying abilities. It also increases vascular circulation.

Rosemary essential oil is great for circulation. Plus the smell is intoxicating.

Lemon essential oil is another great essential oil that helps with circulation.

Lavender essential oil is the Swiss army knife of essential oils and does wonder for our skin. It’s also great for reducing the appearance of stretch marks.

  • ½ C. coconut oil, melted
  • 2 T. almond oil (or jojoba, olive, or avocado oil)
  • 1 C. white sugar
  • 10 drops Peppermint Oil
  • 20 drops Grapefruit Oil
  • ¼ t. Beet Juice or 1 drop of red food color (optional for color)

Mix all ingredients in a small container until combined. Please note that the coconut oil will solidify but will soften up in your warm hands. I use this scrub in my morning shower. The peppermint wakes you up and helps you get going in the morning. Scoop out a tablespoon and gently massage in a circular motion on your problem areas. I focus on my belly and thighs. The scrub removes dead skin cells while boosting circulation.
